Moringa

Crown and root system:  This is a dry season deciduous tree with a medium-large crown and a non-invasive root system.  Its rate of growth is particularly quick and adjusts to a variety of soil types and climate conditions.  The root system is flat and tends to collapse in winter winds.  To prevent this, the tree should be anchored.

Growing regions:  All over the country.

Ripening date:  The moringa has long thin pods that ripen in summer and are edible.

Planting in a container:  Not suitable.

Recommended planting season:  All year round, except for cold months.

Good to know:
The leaves, fruit and even the roots of this tree can be eaten and are rich in nutritional value.
